I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 7th inst., in which you do not accept the offer of the Governor to give you the fullest opportunity of dealing, before the Executive Council, with the charges you specified against Dr. Eitel, but repeat your determination to bring the subject before the Legislative Council.
I have also laid before His Excellency your letter of the 10th instant addressed to the Earl of Kimberley enclosing various documents relating to the circumstances under which Mr. C. Haytlar was excluded from Government House three years ago, thereon dwelling on your proceeding in the Governor's absence from the Colony in September last, and the withdrawal...
